“We were shown to the lavish changing room where we put on luxurious gowns and slippers. The beautifully decorated relaxation room, complete with a toasty fireplace, chaise lounges and a selection of teas, is where we met our lovely therapists. Our group would each receive a different treatment and I was over the moon to discover that I was about to enjoy a massage, my absolute fave!
…My therapist, Kashiefa, explained that the one hour Magnesium Therapy Massage utilizes luxurious magnesium oil and heated Himalayan salt stones to re-energise the body while treating symptoms such as insomnia, pain and fatigue. It also aims to induce a state of calm and promises a good night’s sleep – yay! I love that they use the Africology range of products that are made with environmentally responsible manufacturing practices under fair trade guidelines and contain ingredients sourced from Mother Nature.” (Source Living It Up CPT)

“On arrival at the Spa, we made our way to the changing room, where we changed into a luxurious spa gown and slippers. Once ready we were ready it was off to the relaxation room to meet our therapists. Our group were all having different treatments, and mine was a QMS Facial…
…My QMS Facial consisted of a Rejuvenation Treatment, with natural soluble collagens, as well as an Oxygen Treatment. Also part of the facial was an application of an algae mask which covers both the eyes and the mouth. It is quite an unusual sensation and if you are at all claustrophobic can be quite alarming, but worth it! The mask starts off fluid during the application and is very cooling to the skin. Once set, it reveals an imprint of your skin, highlighting any areas of concern.” (Source www.inspiredlivingsa.co.za)

“It’s no secret that I have been battling with my skin most of my life, and the medication I have taken to tackle this issue has lead to rapid aging probably being a bit dramatic here) and dull looking skin. I have found a great balance of diet, hormonal mediation and skincare products to curb the acne – but my skin just didn’t have the shine and bounce most other people do. Also, being a vegetarian, my natural collagen and protien levels are fairly low, which doesn’t help much either. So, can you believe that I’ve never had a facial before? I have thought about having Botox to plump up the wrinkles (which I will still get one day…), facial peels to get the scarring gone – but never even thought about the most non-invasive, most relaxing way to sooth the issues? And also, I realllly don’t drink enough water.
Enter the 60minute Team Dr. Joseph TDJ Intense Purifying Facial at Steenberg Spa. ‘Waking up’ after my beautiful, deeply relaxing facial, I could immediately see the impact! It left my skin feeling and looking radiant, bright, soft and energized and I walked out with a fresher complexion than I had had in years. No jokes. I’m sure the hour-long rest with all the breathing in essential oils, the heated bed, being wrapped up in furry blankets and listening to soothing, calming music and having a quick Pedi did wonders too. I felt like a new woman when I walked out of the door.” (Source www.thesocialneedia.co.za)
